The room was super cozy with a comfy king-size bed and plenty of coffee. I loved lounging in the garden area and catching up on my favorite shows in the leisure room. The only downside was that the restaurant closed early on Sundays, so plan ahead for dinner! 🌼

The superior room was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable, making it a joy to return to after a day out. Breakfast exceeded expectations with high-quality ingredients like black pudding and fresh salmon. Dinner options, however, felt limited for those who don't enjoy cheese, and the unfamiliar reservation policy for tables ahead of meal times was perplexing. Nonetheless, the overall atmosphere was warm, with attentive staff enhancing the experience.

More soft diet options would be helpful.

The atmosphere was quite lively, and the staff were helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but the noise from the bar made it a bit warm at night. While breakfast on one day was not great, the other day was fantastic, showing some inconsistency in service.

Just an excellent fit for a brief stopover in Barnard Castle with reasonable price. The traditional English breakfast was fantastic, really hit the spot! Consider staying in 'The Stable' for a quieter experience.
